Backlit Trade Show Displays

Backlit trade show displays

Backlit displays use LED lighting behind tension fabric graphics to make your booth glow from within — a look that’s hard to miss on a crowded show floor. Whether you need a compact 3ft unit for a small activation or an 18.5ft wall for a flagship exhibit, our lightbox displays are built for fast setup and repeated use.

Why LED lighting works for exhibit graphics

Unlike a printed banner, a lit graphic pulls the eye even from across a busy hall. Our displays use silicone edge graphics (SEG) — fabric with a thin silicone strip sewn into the edge that slides into an aluminum frame’s channel for a clean, seamless finish with no visible hardware. Energy-efficient LED arrays run cool enough for all-day use without overheating the fabric or spiking your power draw.

Slip-on graphics for faster changeovers

If you swap booth graphics often — different shows, different campaigns — a slip-on backlit graphic is worth considering over SEG. It zips or slides over the frame rather than tensioning into a channel, so it’s quicker to install and easier to swap between events. Both options ship in a hard case sized for checked airline travel or freight.

Choosing a size

  • 3ft–5ft units work well as a secondary lit element next to a larger booth, or as a standalone piece for a small tabletop presence.
  • 8ft–10ft displays are the standard backdrop size for a typical 10×10 or 10×20 booth footprint.
  • 12ft and up suits a flagship exhibit or a wall meant to be visible from across the hall.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between SEG and slip-on backlit graphics? SEG graphics tension into a frame channel for a taut, wrinkle-free finish and a more premium look. Slip-on graphics install faster and are easier to swap out between events, but have a slightly less tensioned finish. (Like a pillowcase.)

How long does it take to set up a backlit display? Most units assemble in 15–30 minutes without tools, depending on size. Larger walls (12ft+) typically take two people.

Can I reuse the frame with a new graphic later? Yes. The aluminum frame is reusable — you only need to order a new printed graphic if you’re updating your branding or messaging.
